I prefer both…
But did you know the different?
Bet you cannot tell the different!
The golds here are not noun or materials.
So, what do you think?
Golds here means time.
Time is so precious.
The time cannot be reverse.
Why we need both goals and golds?
Because goals give the golds the meaning of the value of life.
Life is only one per every soul and not for sell.
To determine goals, you will need knowledge.
To get knowledge, you must “know how to read” not “learn to read”.
Knowledge can be in the form of alphabets or figures or symbols or sounds or feelings.
How to appreciate the golds?
Value it with the steps taken to achieve a goal.
A goal can leads to another goal.
Goal to learn IC Design.
Goal to design an IC.
Goal to fab the IC layout.
Goal to sell the chips.
Goal to get more income.
Goal to success.
All goal became goals at the end.
So at the end… we appreciate both…
The Goals and The Golds… precious thing given by Allah SWT since the earth has been created.
Idea without brainstorm its just like an idea toward dead end.
Brainstorming your ideas are important in order to have a list of solutions for problems solving.
Also important to notice about dead brain during emergency and unbearable urgency situation that’s need someone to come out with instant solution.
However this dead brain problem can be overcome by introducing comfort time during such an urgency. Take 5 minutes to think and come out with a good solution.
Sometime you can discussed about it in order to grab more suitable solutions to solve the problems in time.
There are some other way to keep brainstorming your ideas or mind. You can Google it!
What is IC Design?
IC Design is Integrated Circuit Design (directly translate it).
Integrated Circuit from Concise Oxford English Dictionary (7th Edition) means:
an electronic circuit on a small piece of semiconducting material, performing the same function as a larger circuit of discrete components.
IC Design engineer is an engineer who design the IC.
You also can say IC Design engineer is the engineer who design electronic chips or computer processor chips.
What it takes to be an IC Design engineer? (based on my observation)
One must has a degree of Electrical or Electronic, or IC Design or microelectronic.
There are other kind of certification that also allow a person to be an IC Design engineer, but it tougher compare to the engineer that obtain at least a degree from the related field as I mentioned before this sentence.
To design an ICs/chips/components & sells them, it involves so much people & money. And that is the cool part of it.
Basically, there must be a planner to plan on what kind of chip to be designed. The plan must serve the market needs. From the plan, a group of design engineers are hire depending on the project complexity to complete the task.
In design, fundamentally there are two types of group; 1. IC Designer group (design the schematic of the IC or the circuit within the chip), and 2. IC Layout Designer group (design the layout of the IC designed by the group 1).
The layout designed by the group 2 must be matched with the schematic of IC designed by the group 1. It also can be said crucial, else the chip won’t works within the specification.
Group 1: IC Schematic Design Engineer
-Need to design the IC according to specification given.
Group 2: IC Layout Design Engineer
-Need to design the IC layout that matched its schematic design.
-The layout design is also crucial because there are certain rules need to be follow to decrease the possibility of deffect during fab process and to avoid un-wanted latch-up.
The layout design then send out to the fab house to create the mask and some other preparation to fabricate the ICs into die.
Beside the jobs that I mention here, there are so many jobs related to IC Design fields. Maybe I will share some more next time. Thanks for reading this post.
Welcome to AfhamJaya’s blog.
Currently I am looking forward to discuss anything about IC design here.
But not strictly to that subject.
Sometimes about Sometimes about technology, joke and whatever that’s make lives wonderful… hehe…
